Ezhimala is an amalgamation of the words 'ezhu' and'mala,' which respectively indicate seven and peaks. This beautiful hill town in Kerala, India's southernmost state, also has a long and illustrious history. Lord Hanuman is said to have fallen the seven peaks here while delivering the Sanjeevani plant to Lord Lakshman.
Because of the presence of the Indian Naval Academy in the area, photography and filming are restricted in certain locations of Ezhimala.
