This tiny, freshwater lake, also known as Kumarwah Lake, is located to the south of the Dhauladhar range, some 9 kilometres northwest of Dharamshala, in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra District. The Kareri Lake, at an elevation of 2,934 metres above sea level, is also a famous trekking destination.
The lake is also home to lovely coniferous groves and a variety of colourful perennial blooms.
