It is also known as the 'Secret Lake' since it is bordered on all sides by granite and hidden by the rocks in the centre of the bustling cybercity. The lake is thought to have been the primary source of water for the people of the Golconda Fort, giving it historical significance. Visitors come here mostly for the tranquilly and scenic splendour of the area, as well as the breathtaking sunset views.Durgam Cheruvu is also the centre of a plethora of intriguing activities. An artificial waterfall and fountain have been built here, further enhancing the beauty of the place.
