Why to visit Mokha 1450
Mokha 1450 is an intimate setting with great coffee that is part boutique and part coffee shop. This modern cafe is ideally suited for a prolonged visit rather than a coffee to-go, with skilled employees that are passionate about their product. The outstanding and varied menu features a wide range of brewing techniques, single origin beans, and innovative mixes, with each item thoroughly documented.
The cafe, tucked away in Jumeirah, was inspired by the birthplace of coffee, Yemen's old harbour of Mokha. The small and intimate Arabic-style design, as well as the communal seating, harken back to the days when groups congregated to share stories over coffee.
Coffee connoisseurs can test heirloom Ethiopian geisha beans, ultra-premium Jamaican blue mountain beans, or an outstanding brew from the Sabri Mountains, grown by a co-operative of female farmers, among many others. The boutique-café, which offers historical traditions and aromatic beers, is an excellent stop on a cultural day out in Jumeirah.
