Why to visit Palm Jumeirah
Palm Jumeirah, constructed from reclaimed land in a sequence of artificial archipelagos, is shaped like a palm tree when viewed from above. The island is home to some of Dubai's most luxurious resorts, including Atlantis, The Palm, FIVE Palm Jumeirah Hotel, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, One&Only The Palm, and many more. There are fantastic fine dining options, such as Nobu and 101 Dining Lounge, as well as more than 80 restaurants, lounges, and other attractions at The Pointe, which is located along a picturesque esplanade at the tip of The Palm.
Nakheel, a real estate company now owned by the Dubai government, was the developer of Palm Jumeirah. It is regarded as the United Arab Emirates' first big tourism endeavour. The four basic components of the Palm Jumeirah are the Crescent, Spine, Trunk, and Fronds. The entrance to this area is marked by a large tree that serves as a bridge between the island and the mainland. Another bridge spans the gap between the Spine and the Trunk. The breakwater in the Crescent part is connected to the Spine by a tunnel. This world- class artificial island now houses a large population of over 10,000 people.
The greatest way to see the Palm Islands is from the air or from atop one of Dubai's many high-rise skyscrapers, including the Burj Khalifa's Observation Deck. Take a Speedboat from Palm Jumeirah to explore some of the key attractions in the area to cruise the islands.
