Why to visit Dubai Fountain
The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed water fountain. Five circles of varied sizes and two arcs make up the design of this beautiful water monument. The strong nozzles can fire up to 83 thousand litres of water up to 500 feet in the air. The platform's 50 colour projectors and 6,600 lights combine to generate up to 1000 water and light patterns, creating a mesmerising image. The fountain show is accompanied by light and music displays and may be seen from all points along the lake promenade. The music, which includes Michael Jackson, Andrea Bocelli, and Whitney Houston, varies from classical Arabic pieces to modern, international pop selections. Every day, up to five-minute fountain displays are held.
This fountain was designed by WET, the same company that created the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. The audience can see the show from as close as 9 metres away. The Dubai Fountain Lake Ride, on the other hand, allows visitors to view the performance from traditional Abra boats on Burj Lake. Both facilities require advance purchase of tickets. Shows are held every day, with a minimum of one each day, and there is no charge to attend.
The fountain show is held every afternoon at 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., except on Fridays when it is held at 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Evening show times are 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ( Every 30 minutes)
