Why to visit Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
This aquarium and underwater zoo is home to around 140 different species. The jungle, rocky shore, and living ocean are examples of different ecological zones. The public can observe the aquarium for free from the Mall's world's largest acrylic panel. A walk through the 48-meter-long tunnel within will provide you with a spectacular perspective of the jungle and the glistening ocean environment. You can also go on a glass-bottom boat tour, get a mermaid makeover, get wet in a snorkelling cage, or put on an oxygen tank and go shark swimming.
Children and adults alike are enthralled by the aquarium's 33,000 colourful aquatic species, which include 400 sharks and rays, giant sea bass, and shoals of oceanic fish. The tank is recognised for having the world's largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks. The zoo section of the complex features a remarkable variety of species, including the 750-kilogram 'King Croc,' which measures over 5 metres long and weighs an incredible 750 kilogrammes.
To get here, take the metro to the Burj Khalifa/The Dubai Mall station. When you arrive at the station, proceed to the main road. Every 15 minutes, a feeder bus runs from the station to the mall. However, if you intend to drive to The Dubai Mall from the city centre, take the first interchange and proceed along Financial Centre Road (formerly Doha Street). The approach road to The Dubai Mall will be on your right.
