Why to visit Papi Hills
The Papikondalu mountain range is located in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, and flows along the River Godavari (Western Godavari). In terms of scenic splendour, Papikondalu is a feast for the eyes. The width of the powerful Godavari narrows as the hills get closer and closer to the visitor. It was given the name 'Papidi' because it resembled the middle partition of a woman's hair. Kondalu- Paidi in Telugu means the middle partition of a woman's hair. In the native tongue, it was afterwards dubbed Papikondalu. The narrowing of the river, its twists and turns, and the Papi Hills combine to provide a spectacular visual experience. It is frequently likened to Kashmir in terms of beauty.
