Why to visit Gooty Fort

Before the Qutb Shahi dynasty took control, the majestic Gooty fort was the bastion of the Chalukyas, Mughals, Marathas, East India Company, and the Vijayanagara Empire. According to different historical inscriptions found here, it is known as the "King of Forts." The massive Gooty Hill, which is encircled on three sides by the town and houses the fort's citadel at its westernmost point, covers a large area. The fort's ruins are littered with granaries, bastions, a gunpowder magazine, walls, storerooms, and temples, among other structures.
