Why to visit Shri Ram Tirth Temple

A fortnight after Diwali, the ancient temple hosts a five-day fair where nearly a lakh pilgrims come to seek blessings. On Purnamashi night, devotees take a dip in the ancient tank next to the temple. On Purnamashi night, a tradition known as Tulla Torana is observed in which light lamps made of kneaded flour and ghee are released into the water. This tradition is said to cleanse one of one's sins and to please Lord Rama. There is a unique belief that the pilgrimage is not complete unless money or food is given to charity to the needy.

Special Tip

The best time to visit the place is between October and March.
