Why to visit Guru ke Mahal

The structure of Mahal is divided into three layers. The basement is a meditation room where the masters used to meditate. There is space upstairs to sit together and participate in kirtans. The top layer is Guru Granth Sahib. It is believed that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur was born in Mahal in Baisakhi. Therefore, Baisakhi is also his birthday anniversary. In addition to daily rituals, Baisakhi also organized special kirtans and langars called Guru ke Langar.
