The 14 villages that make up the hill station are primarily populated by various tribal groups. • Dog Show - The South India Kennel Club hosts the event at Government Art College, where you can meet various four-legged furballs. It's one of the highlights of the Yelagiri Summer Festival. The event features a wide range of dog breeds, including Pugs, Bulldogs, Beagles, Poodles, and more!
• Cultural Programs - Another huge event that is just amazing is the cultural one, which features a variety of dance and music presentations. The audience is enthralled by the folk dance and theater performed by students and professional artists, who tell local stories through their performances.
• Rose Festival - Another lovely aspect of the Yelagiri Summer Festival is the Rose Festival. Various roses are presented in a variety of ways in the Government Rose Garden. The rose tower or Rangolis, which is made up of multiple different coloured roses, can be admired. The event will feature around 3000 different rose types.
• Spice Show - The Yelagiri Summer Festival celebration takes place over two days at Saint Thomas Secondary School in Gudalur.
