Why to visit Trek to Swamimalai Hills

Swamimalai Hills, located 6.5 kilometres from Punganoor Lake and 7 kilometres from Athanavur Bus Stop, is one of Yelagiri's highest peaks, standing 4626 feet above sea level. This is a well-known tourist attraction in the Yelagiri Hills.

Swamimalai Hill is a popular hiking and mountain climbing destination. It is an ideal location for individuals who like the pleasures of trekking. The spectacular views of the region may be seen from the top of the hill.

The Swamimalai walk begins in Mangalam Village (3.5 km from Punganoor Lake) and is 4 km from Athanavur Bus Stop. Swamimalai is a 5-kilometer hike in both directions. Visitors can be guided to the hill by locals via deep vegetation. Going up and down takes roughly 2 - 2.5 hours on average. Trekkers will find a modest, well-maintained Shiva shrine at the top of the hill. On the rock's side, an iron ladder was erected. Visitors can climb up the ladder to get a great view of the hills.
