At an elevation of 2200 metres, Prospect Hill is home to the Kamna Devi Temple, also known as Creeda Devi Temple. Rana of Junga constructed the temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Kali, an avatar of the goddess Durga known for showcasing the beauty of Shimla City.

Each year, countless devotees come to this temple to worship. Tall deodar and pine trees have been planted all around the shrine. The temple provides a beautiful perspective of the surrounding hills.

According to Legend: 

Since it is said that Goddess Kali grants the wishes of every one of her followers who ascend the hill and pray at the temple, it is widely accepted that anyone visiting Shimla must pay a visit to this magnificent temple.
