Why to visit Liberty Bell Center

The Liberty Bell is one of the most popular historical landmarks in the country and is considered to be the ultimate symbol of American freedom. The phrase "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the country unto all its inhabitants," from Leviticus 25:10, was chosen for the Bell to honour the golden anniversary of Penn's Charter. Philadelphia's Liberty Bell, also known as the State House Bell or Old State House Bell, is a well-known representation of American independence. The bell, which is now housed across the street in the Liberty Bell Center in Independence National Historical Park, was originally installed in the steeple of the Pennsylvania State House (now known as Independence Hall).
