Why to visit Bisle Reserve Forest
Bisle Ghat Viewpoint in the Bisle Reserve Forest is a trekker's paradise surrounded by green forest, streams, and waterfalls. Visitors come for the panoramic views of the three mountain ranges, Dodda Betta-Yenikallu Betta, Pushpagiri, and Kumara Parvatha, as well as the Giri River that runs through the valley.
They appear to be nearly everywhere, especially along the major forest roadway, where thousands of them can be seen frolicking alongside their favourite alkaloid plants that grow wild in Bisle woodland. Hundreds of thousands of blue tiger butterflies were fluttering around the Bisle woodland highway a few months ago. I was really fortunate to view them up close, and because there were few motorists on the highway.
I was able to fully immerse myself in the blue tiger butterfly experience. I was able to observe how they become euphoric while consuming the nectar of these alkaloid plants. And the contrast between their fluttering wings and the brilliant green background made for some spectacular vistas.
