Why to visit Sanasar
Sanasar is the Jammu's aero-adventure-sports capital. The region is bordered by massive conifers and built in a cup-shaped meadow. Sanasar is named for two nearby lakes and will provide you with a more tranquil side of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as adventure and excitement on demand.
Sanasar is a sports-dream adventurer's come true, with opportunities to learn and practise paragliding and hot air ballooning.
One of Sanasar's most well-known activities is paragliding. At Sanasar, the majority of the aircraft are 'Tandem Hand-gliders,' which are designed to transport both the pilot and a passenger at the same time. The J&K TDC will provide you with the necessary training. Paragliding is a thrilling activity that allows you to see a spectacular aerial perspective of the region.
Another popular tourist activity is hot air ballooning. It's a leisure activity that allows you to receive a bird's eye view of the area you're travelling through. Photographers will love it because it allows them to get some stunning images of the mesmerising meadows.Horseback riding is also available in the steep areas.
J&K Tourism Department has also introduced camping at Sanasar (Wilderness Adventure Camps). J&K TDC offers camping equipment for hire.
May-June and September-October are the finest months to visit Sanasar. The weather is lovely and cool, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The temperature lowers dramatically in the winter, thus heavy woollens are recommended.
