Why to visit Khilanmarg

Khilanmarg Valley, at 2000 feet above sea level, is a renowned tourist attraction in Jammu & Kashmir. The majority of travellers who visit Gulmarg stop by this unique tiny valley. The valley's geographical location allows visitors to see and photograph Nanga Parbat and the twin peaks Nun and Kun, which are located around 6 kilometres from Gulmarg. 

Any time of year is acceptable for visiting Khilanmarg; however, the greatest time to visit Khilanmarg is between November and February, when one may participate in adventure and snow sports such as trekking, skiing, and more. If adventure activities aren't your thing, visiting Khilanmarg between June and September is also a good idea because the weather is pleasant for touring and exploring the area.

The area is surrounded by lush green meadows, which are especially beautiful in the spring, as well as mysterious vistas of the Himalayan mountains and forest cover. The distance between Gulmarg and Khilanmarg is about 600 metres, and there is no other way to get to this small yet magnificent valley other than walking.
