Why to visit Darjeeling Ropeway

Darjeeling is well-known around the world as one of the most picturesque hill stations, where visitors can take in a variety of stunning landscapes, from the majestic snow-capped mountains to the charming valley dotted with verdant tea estates. As a result, the Darjeeling Ropeway is a popular tourist attraction in Darjeeling, offering visitors breathtaking views of the valley as they travel through it. Today, it's a sought-after tourist destination, bringing in throngs of visitors all year round to take in the splendour of Darjeeling's scenery. Passengers are transported at a height of 7000 feet by 16 cable cars, each of which accommodates six passengers, from the North Point in Singamari to the Singla Bazaar, located on the banks of the lovely Ramman river.

Special Tip

Every 19th of the month, the Ropeway closes for maintenance.
