Why to visit Junagarh Fort
The fort of Junagarh is a masterpiece of architecture. The building is a mash-up of numerous cultures, with the Rajput style being the most ancient. The earliest type of design is that of the classic Rajput style, which was influenced by the Gujarati-Mughal alliance. The architecture thereafter displayed semi-western influences, followed by revivalist Rajput monuments built primarily during Maharaja Ganga Singh's reign. It is brimming with ornately constructed palaces, structures, and kiosks. The architectural marvels alone are enough to enchant visitors.
The stone sculptures in red and gold sandstone are one of Junagarh Fort's most notable characteristics. Red sandstone is used to construct all of the structures. The interiors are furnished in the Rajasthani manner of the past. The magnificent fort features seven gates, numerous residences, and Hindu and Jain temples. Two large gates built of golden sandstones are also present.
