Why to visit Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple

Hidden behind the Raj Niwas, Vellakkaran Pillai, the largest statue of the Hindu deity, Vinayaka, is placed in this sanctum. Most people flock to the temple on the 18th day of Brahmotsavam festival, when there are a lot of devotees there. There's also the Vinayaka Chaturthi holiday, which is also celebrated with a lot of fervour. The temple, on the other hand, has a legend attached to it. In a frenzied attempt, a Frenchman removed Ganesha from the shrine. When the idol was removed, it would emerge on its own after a while.
