Designed and built in the 18th century This majestic chapel, also known as the Church of Our Lady of Angels, is an architectural marvel that mimics the Basilica of Lourdes in France. The magnificent emerald seas of the Bay of Bengal may be seen from the chapel. This historical monument also has an exquisite statue of Joan of Arc, in addition to a towering statue of Mother Mary cradling infant Jesus. Another intriguing fact is that this is where Pondicherry's single mass is held.
