Why to visit French War Memorial

The memorial was constructed as a tribute to the brave warriors who gave their lives in World War I. Every year on July 14th, Bastille Day (French National Day), the memorial is illuminated, and locals and visitors alike gather to pay their respects. A bronze bas-relief depicting Dupleix's arrival in Pondicherry in 1742 is located behind the memorial. The memorial is a true architectural marvel that stands tall, telling untold battle memories.
