Why to visit Halashana Waterfall

Halashana waterfalls, also known as Oteh Kodaaru in Tamil, are certainly one of the top attractions in Ooty. If you enjoy viewing cascading waterfalls, you will enjoy this one. This waterfall, located in Dindigul, cascades down from a height of 150 feet above sea level. A natural crater has formed at the base due to the high velocity of the water flow.

This waterfall is located on the Kollamuby Estate's private land, and guests must have prior permission to enter. One should lie flat on their back to obtain the finest view of this waterfall, which is one of the best tourist attractions in Ooty. Because the water is falling at such a fast rate, this also assures safety.

Coimbatore is the closest airport near the Halashana Falls. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway provides train access to the Nilgiri Halashana Falls.

Special Tip

The greatest time to visit the Halashana Waterfall is when the water is in full flow during the monsoon season. As a result, the optimum time to visit is from September to March.
