Naina Peak is the highest hill in Nainital at a height of 2615 m and one of the most popular tourist destinations. Locals in Nainital refer to this peak as China Peak or Cheena Peak. Naina Peak is a popular trekking destination in Nainital due to its high altitude and lush green forest path. 

Naina Peak Trek

  • Without trekking the 6 km from Mallital to the top of Naina Peak, a journey to Nainital is not complete.
  • Rhododendrons, pine woodlands, and deodar and cypress trees are also present throughout the trail.
  • When one climbs, they come to a lodge where they can have tea, converse with the forest rangers, and learn about leopard sightings from them.
  • From the summit, one can enjoy an elevated view of the serene Naini Lake, the Nanda Devi peak, and the Tibetan border mountains.
