Why to visit Kainchi Dham

This contemporary pilgrimage site, which is 1400 m above sea level, was constructed in honour of Shri Neem Karoli Baba Maharaj Ji, a Hindu guru who was a devotee of Lord Hanuman. Moreover, Baba Neem Karori used to meditate in a cave close to the temple within the Dham complex which is considered holy.

The distance from Nainital city to Kainchi Dham is 19 kilometres, and you can travel there by taxi or cab. The roads are motorable and well-connected. To get to the Dham, you must travel down NH 109, the Nainital-Almora highway.
