Deras Dam is a minor water reservoir located approximately 25 kilometres from Bhubaneswar's main metropolis. Deras Dam is the principal source of irrigation in the surrounding districts and is regarded one of the key water reservoirs within Chandaka Dampara Elephant Sanctuary. Not only that, but Deras Dam also acts as a watering site for the Elephant Sanctuary's animals.

The dam, which is near Chandaka National Park, captivates visitors with its breathtaking views. When you come here, you will find solace in leaving the hustle and bustle of city life and spending a day in a setting awash in lush vegetation. There are several small hillocks where you may choose a calm spot and experience a day picnic with your family and friends, making it a perfect ways to spend a day.
