From Port Blair - Guitar Island is 90 kilometres from Port Blair and can be reached by road or by sea in a traditional boat. A 5- to 6-hour drive from Port Blair to Rangat is followed by a 30-minute bus ride to the Yerrata jetty. A one-hour ferry ride.
The most number of tourists visit the Andaman and Nicobar group of islands from December to February, and then again from April to June, therefore Guitar Island can be visited at any time of year, depending on the visitor's preference for a wonderful vacation.
