Blue Line

The Shimla to Kaza route via the Blue Line spans 412 km and takes roughly 20 hours, with the road remaining accessible throughout the year.

The newly inaugurated Atal tunnel Rohtang enables the Shimla to Keylong route via the Red Line, which takes about 14 hours to traverse 330 km, to remain open throughout the year.

Green Line

The Shimla to Kaza route via the Green Line covers 185 km, taking approximately 6 hours. However, it remains closed for over 9 months due to heavy snowfall and the Kunzam Pass closure, typically from Oct/Nov to June/July.

Rohtang Pass - Batal - Kunzam Pass

The 200 km Kaza (via) Rohtang Pass - Batal - Kunzam Pass route offers a scenic journey, but it may not be accessible during the winter months due to heavy snowfall.
