We kicked off our adventure by arriving in Shimla and checking into The Oberoi Cecil. This hotel is a delightful mix of colonial architecture and modern comforts. The view from our room? Absolutely breathtaking. Mountains stretched as far as the eye could see.
Next, we took a leisurely walk along Mall Road. This busy and vibrant street was full of shops and cafes. It was perfect for picking up souvenirs and trying local snacks, and my goodness, we had almost all of them!! And lastly, we ended our day with a delicious dinner at 45 The Central. The cozy ambiance and fantastic food made it the perfect end to our first day, and I am sooo thankful to our local travel expert, Sandeep, who guided us to this fabulous diner on-call.
Earlier, for lunch, we stopped at The EBR Cafe Shimla, and this cozy spot served delicious food and was a perfect mid-day break. Later, we had our dinner at Eighteen71 Cookhouse & Bar, which was another highlight of the day. The mix of Indian and Oriental dishes was simply yumm...
Later, at Himalayan Nature Park, we saw a variety of animals, including the majestic brown bear. The park’s natural beauty and the chance to see these animals up close were unforgettable and equally exciting. After everything, in Chail, we visited the World's Highest Cricket Ground, which was surrounded by pine forests. It was an extraordinary experience. We wrapped up our day with a wonderful dinner at Goofa Ashiana Restaurant.
Reluctantly, we checked out from The Oberoi Cecil and began our journey back to Delhi. Shimla and Kufri gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Every place we visited left a lasting impression.
If you’re planning a getaway, I highly recommend this itinerary for a truly memorable experience, and please…do get in touch with Connecting Traveller for your very own hand-picked vacation!
