Nag Tibba is a trekker's paradise. A lesser-known trail near Mussoorie, it is easily one of the best treks for nature-loving communities. The Nag Tibba trek is ideal for those who want to walk through forests, climb up to 10,000 feet, see snow-capped mountains, and sleep under starry night skies.
The tour starts at 9 AM in Morning. The starting point of the trek is Dehradun located at a distance of 5 km from ISBT Bus Stop. You can easily get public or private transport to reach the location Dehradun to Laser Gaon is 99 kilometres away by road. The four-hour drive takes you through Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, over the Yamuna Bridge, and up to Nainbagh on the way to Purola. Take a road up on the right side from Nainbagh's main market (also known as Nag Tibba road). After a 22-kilometre drive, you will arrive at Laser Village via Pantwari, which will serve as the starting point for the trek to The Goat Village.
Cook, eat Garhwali food, milk goats, read, get your hands dirty in the fields, or simply do nothing and relax. The lodging here is a mix of ten old-style architectural cottages and condominiums that can accommodate up to 30-35 people.
The path is mostly flat, with a 10-minute steep ascent in the middle. Nag Tibba Base is a large clearing with a Serpent God temple in it. Through the forest, you can see the Garhwal peaks. While trekking through the forest, there are four steep climbs. The climb to the summit can take anywhere from 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes. The summit is straight up with no turns to the left or right. When you reach the top, the trail will reappear and curve to the left towards a ridge. Walk for a minute until you see an open patch of land on the other side of the mountain sloping downwards. Look for a flag on the highest point, which is known as the Nag Tibba summit.
