Why to visit Tulsi Manasa Temple

One of Varanasi's most well-known temples is the Tulsi Manas Mandir, which was constructed in 1964. It is composed of white marble, and the lovely garden just makes it more alluring. The Lord Rama of the epic Ramayana is the subject of the temple.

Highlights:

  • Beautiful statues of Lord Rama, Mother Sita, Lakshman, and Lord Hanuman can be found at the temple.
  • Verse segments from Ramcharitmanas, the Hindi translation of the epic Ramayana, are inscribed on the walls of this shrine.
  • There is a museum on the property that houses a unique collection of Ramayana manuscripts and other antiquities.
  • There is a gorgeous Tulsi Garden with a statue of Tulsidas depicting the stanza 'Tulsi Das chandan ragane, tilak det Raghuvir.'
  • On the left side of the primary temple, there is a lovely pond with four ghats.

Interesting Fact:

The ancient Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas was first composed at this temple in the 16th century CE by Hindu poet-saint, reformer, and philosopher Goswami Tulsidas. As a result, this temple has significant historical and cultural significance in Hinduism.
