Why to visit Harsiddhi Temple
Harsiddhi Temple, dedicated to goddess Parvati, is one of Mata Sati's 51 Shaktipeeths. According to mythology, Lord Shiva brought Goddess Parvati's body into the sacrificial fire, and her elbow dropped here, resulting in the temple's formation. In the heart of a massive temple complex, the main deity is painted in a dark vermillion hue. Tourists can also pay their respects to the goddesses Annapurna, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati's idols.
Maratha influences can be seen in the temple architecture. The main entrance is on the eastern side, and there are four entrances, one in each direction. In the temple, the Sri Yantra, a symbol of power or shakti, is also enshrined. The two pillars with lamps adorning them are unique to Maratha art. These lamps, which are illuminated during Navaratri, provide a magnificent sight. On the property, there is an ancient well with an artistic pillar atop it.
