Why to visit Taronga Zoo

The award-winning Taronga Zoo, one of Sydney's most recognised attractions, is home to nearly 4,000 species, including Australian native wildlife as well as rare and endangered alien creatures. Wild Ropes, Taronga's latest sky-high adventure, is an exciting new sky-high adventure. While experiencing breath-taking views of Sydney Harbour, overcome obstacles, cross suspension bridges, and soar through the trees.

Enjoy the QBE Free-Flight Bird Show, which has some of the world's most stunning birds, and the Daily Seal Show, which features Australian and Californian Sea-lions as well as New Zealand Fur-seals, both of which will impress you with their grace and talent.

Taronga Zoo, which overlooks Sydney Harbour, is only 12 minutes by ferry from the city. Admission includes daily keeper talks and performances, as well as access to the Sky Safari, Sydney's only cable car, which is open 365 days a year.

Special Tip

If you're short on time, concentrate on the native Australian animals, which you won't find anywhere else. Seeing these in detail can take up to half a day; plan on staying longer if you want to tour the entire zoo. However, the entrance fee of this place is 44.55 to 49.26 AUD (approx).
