Why to visit Little India Arcade
Little India Arcade is a lovely and vibrant compound that houses an incredible range of Indian and Arabian apparel, homeware, and fabrics. If you take your time strolling around Indian Street, you'll find fried herbs and spices, traditional outfits, colourful artwork, extravagant accessories, and sweet shops, all at cheap costs. The entire lane is bright orange and draws attention from passers-by. If you want to avoid the heat, go in the evening, and if you want to avoid the crowds, go during the day!
A variety of tastefully renovated novelty shops and cafés can be found in Little India Arcade's cluster of shop house buildings, which date back to the 1920s. The structure has been meticulously restored to replicate the spirit of the early Indian hamlet that existed in the area during colonial times. People come here mostly for the well-known Indian delicacies, both north Indian and south Indian. There are also Chinese and Hindu temples in the area, which will introduce you to India's religious side.
It takes only 1 minute to walk to the nearest bus stop. The following buses stop near the arcade: 67, 857, NR6, 23, 64, 65, 66, 131, 139, and 147. If you're taking the MRT, get off at Little India MRT Station Exit C and walk 3 minutes to the arcade.
