Why to visit Haji Lane

Haji Lane, one of Singapore's tiniest streets, is a trendy alleyway strewn with colourful independent boutiques, cafes, and quirky stores in the heart of Kampong Glam. Yoga studios, tattoo parlours, and classic Egyptian eateries line the bohemian strip, attracting a young audience who come to shop at Singapore's cool stores or just hang out with friends. Another huge draw for indie-minded customers shopping for trendy and economical brands is the colourful graffiti strewn around Haji Lane.

Haji Lane, located in Kampong Glam, is well-known for its shopping opportunities, with at least a thousand people flocking to the area every day. Haji Lane has a vintage rustic design blended with a new edgy hipster aesthetic with touches of Peranakan architecture that draws millions of walkers to stroll down the quaint street, even if it's simply for the lively mood. The one-of-a-kind shops on Haji Lane, as well as the vibrant ambiance enhanced by graffiti on the alley's walls, make it a popular photo location and a must-see for all photographers.

To get to this location, take the MRT to Bugis Station (Exit B). Continue down Rocher Road past Bugis Junction Mall until you reach the North Bridge Road. Haji Lane is a 5-minute walk from North Bridge Road, after reaching the Ophir Road crossing.

Special Tip

Selfie Cafe, I AM Juice, Juice Clinic, Limaa, and Karve are some of the venues that serve great cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere; if you get hungry after shopping, you can come here.
