Why to visit Coronation Bridge
Coronation Bridge is in the lovely city of Siliguri, which is a part of both the Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri Districts in the wonderful Indian state of West Bengal. The Coronation Bridge, some 20 kilometres outside of town, provides a spectacular view of the lush foliage and was built primarily to connect Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri.
Because of its accessibility, the Coronation Bridge is also known as National Highway 31 and is considered the lifeline between Kalimpong, Nathula, and Gangtok. Visitors en route to Sikkim or Darjeeling often stop to observe the picturesque splendour around the bridge, which is near to the Sevokeswari Kali Mandir in Siliguri. The bridge's architecture and engineering are among the few remaining in India. Because of the two lion statues at one of the entrances, it is also known as "Bagh Pul" or "Tiger Bridge."
The Coronation Bridge connects Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling and is located near the Sevokeswari Kali Mandir in Siliguri. The mesmerizingly lovely place can be reached by public or private transportation through National Highway 31. (NH31).
