History of the museum
The Himachal State Museum, which has a colonial history, was once Lord William Beresford's home, he served as Lord William Bentick's military secretary. Later, the mansion then became the residence of various Indian government leaders after the independence.
Museum's Tickets and Timings
- The museum remains closed on Gazetted holidays. It is open for tourists on all days except Monday.
