History of the castle
The Gorton Castle was constructed in 1904 by renowned British architect Sir Winton Jacob, who was famed for skillfully fusing Hindu, Islamic, and Western architectural styles. When Lord Curzon, who had selected Sir Winton Jacob, first saw the plan, he fell in love with it and gave the go-ahead for building.
