The shop, which is part of the Police Bazar, was originally constructed as a government project to develop and promote residents' skills and handicrafts, and it is now one of Shillong's top shopping destinations. As a result, the items here have a distinct flavour of Meghalayan culture and tradition, as well as the lives of the people who produce them. This place's handicrafts will never compare to those of any other site you could visit.
