The Kynshi River, located in the West Khasi Hills, is a favourite site for this pastime and is often regarded as the best. Kayaking is regarded as the ultimate activity in this area since it allows both swimming and water sliding.
It is possible that when it is heavy pouring, the authorities would close the facilities since the activity is hazardous to execute in such conditions.
