Why to visit Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum
It houses Dr. Dinkar G Kelkar's unique collection, which is dedicated to the memory of his son, Raja. This museum has three levels featuring sculptures dating back to the 14th century, as well as ivory, silver, and gold objects, musical instruments, combat weapons, and vessels, among other things.
The museum displays a variety of creative objects from the 18th and 19th centuries that were discovered in various locations of India. Door frames, glassware, paintings, handicrafts, and carvings are among the items in the collection.
Museum 2000 is a project that aims to realise Dr. Kelkarr's ideal of establishing an educational and cultural museum that would be open to the public and give them with the necessary information on the artistic values of India.
