Why to visit Riviera
Riviera, arguably Ottawa's most attractive restaurant, is set in a heritage bank building on Sparks Street, only steps from Parliament Hill. The area, with its lofty ceiling and plenty of marble, would reverberate fiercely if it wasn't always crowded.
Travertine floorboards, marbled wainscoting, nickel panels in the private room, brass in the bar and foot rail, and Corinthian pilasters are among the many legacy artefacts from former occupants. The welcoming staff reflects the restaurant's flair and personality. The service, according to visitors, is outstanding. Most foods on the menu are reasonably priced.
The menu at this restaurant includes delectable steak and fries, white fish, and ginger beef. Regular Riviera customers agree that the chocolate pie here is excellent. You'll most likely return to this location later to sample superb Pinot noir wine, Belgian beer, or malt whisky. While visiting this location, you must try the excellent white americano, ginger beer, or chocolate malt.
