Why to visit Needle View Hill Point
The vista is extremely spectacular and well worth a visit if you're returning from Ooty to Mysore, or even if you're not. Unfortunately, few tourists are aware of such a location, and as a result, it is largely neglected by the general public. It is preferable to travel during the day rather than waiting until the sun sets or it is dark to see the site. Because it is a heavily forested location, wild creatures are likely to come out on the prowl after dark. Needle View Hill Point is named from a massive rock in the shape of a cone that dominates the peak.
