Why to visit Commercial Market, Ooty
The name of the road is for a reason, and that reason is the constant business that takes place on the roadways for the shopkeepers. Tourists prefer to buy locally manufactured leather goods, home decor items, and knitted clothes. On both sides of the road are businesses selling handicrafts, antiques, jewellery, woollen clothes, and utensils. This road also has a few supermarkets and large commercial stores, including the Kerala Handicrafts Development Corporation and Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan.
Both local and Kashmiri shops can be found on each side of the route. Another reason for its moniker is the large commercial establishments that line the streets. During the Christmas season, the location is extremely well-known because it is where the Santa Claus parade takes place.
