Why to visit Charing Cross Road Market
Charring cross is a National Highway 67 crossroads that connects the Ooty-Conoor Road and the Commercial Road. It's a lovely site that also happens to be one of the city's most prominent shopping districts.
While there are huge names like Subway, Mega Mart, and other stores in the area, there are also little local shops selling cakes, toys, presents, homemade chocolates, and woollen things. In the evening, a lovely fountain (Adam's fountain) illuminates the crossroads. It is a well-known landmark in Ooty. This fountain is visible from all of the stores and cafes. The Nilgiri Shopping Complex is also in the region, and it's a terrific location to go if you're searching for anything specific — it's almost like a mall.
