Why to visit Coin Museum

The museum was built to give the general public an overview of Indian currencies. With the use of coins, moulds, dyes, reproductions, photographs, and brief write-ups, the Coin Museum provides a comprehensive overview of Indian money from the beginning to the present.

The museum also has dioramas depicting currency minting and coin production procedures, in addition to casting and machine striking. There is also numismatic material on show, as well as bronze, terracotta, copper-hoard artefacts, paintings, and other historical artefacts

The museum includes an excellent study collection and a well-documented history of Indian money. The Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies founded the Coin Museum in 1980. In Asia, this is the only museum of its kind. The museum's setting is quite cool, as it is set against the captivating Ajneri Hill in Nashik..

Special Tip

This museum remain closed on Sundays and public Holidays.
