Why to visit Gurney House

Gurney House, a historic structure in Nainital's area, is one of the finest tourist attractions in December. It refers to a cottage that is well-known as the home of British conservationist Jim Corbett. The mansion, which is near the Nainital Lake, was erected in 1881. The materials utilised in the construction were repurposed from an older house on the property. When the Corbett family moved for Kenya in 1947, the home was sold to Mr. Sharda Prasad Varma, and it is now held by his granddaughter, who offers private tours upon request.

Special Tip

It is famous for its natural surrounding, colonial architecture and history. Do make time to explore the region for unique experience.
