The first wildlife refuge in Uttarakhand that is privately owned and run is Jabarkhet Nature Reserve. The 100-acre natural park is surrounded by several altitudinal zones and contains a wide range of uncommon flora, insects, reptiles, animals, trees, birds, and mammals.
