Why to visit Gun hill
Gun Hill, which is the second-highest point in Mussoorie. A full view of Mussoorie and the surrounding Doon Valley can be seen from the summit of this hill, along with a panoramic vista of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks.
The Gun Hill is a popular site, especially with photographers and others who enjoy the outdoors. It is situated 400 feet above Mall Road. The ropeway, which offers a beautiful view of the Himalayan ranges, is the highlight of Gun Hill.

The closest railway station, Dehradun, is 34 kilometres away from the Gun Hill. Drive time is about one hour and twenty minutes. The distance between the Library Bus Stand, Cart Road, and Mall Road is actually only 1.7 kilometres. These are often travelled by buses and taxis. A different option is to hike up to the top of Gun Hill. Even though the journey only takes 20 minutes, it will undoubtedly stay with you. An experience to treasure is navigating through the tall, dense trees as the leaves on the ground crackle under your steps. Kids can also accomplish the climb because it is not particularly difficult. Senior citizens should not use it, though.
